The 24” Root Chakra Gong by Meinl Sonic Energy is tuned to the Synodic Day’s frequency (planetary gong) and has elements of a sound creation gong. A mobile gong (d. 61 cm), it is pitched to 97.09 Hz (G2) which is equivalent to 194.18 Hz frequency of the Synodic Day. Its sound has a great variety and long sustain.

As the Earth is not only moving around its own axis but also around the sun, the 24h day is the time it takes, that the Sun is on the exact same spot on the Earth again, after one meridian passage.
